What are the payment terms?

To reserve our tour a deposit of USD 500 or EUR 400 per person is required. The balance of your payment is due 90 days prior to the tour departure date or 120 days prior to the tour departure date in our race viewing tours. We accept payments by credit card via PayPal account or direct transfer.

Once you have completed the booking form, we will send you a confirmation email with an invoice and HC Bike Tours bank account details. Please see payment conditions in Terms & Conditions.

What is Advance Reservation?

You have an opportunity to reserve yourself a spot in a planned tour before it gets announced publicly and is available for sale. Usually such an opportunity presents itself for race viewing tours shortly before an official announcement of the anticipated race route. For more information please see Terms & Conditions.

Will I have to share accommodation with another tour guest?

All of our tour prices are based on two people sharing a room. When booking a tour you have an option to choose a single room for an additional fee. Please choose an option ‘Single supplement’ in the provided Booking form.

Do you cater for any specific dietary requirements?

We will do our very best to ensure that your specific dietary requirements are catered for. When you are completing the Booking form, please complete the relevant section.

What’s included in the tours?

All tours include:

During the ride:

  • We ride in small ride-groups up to 10 riders, that allows us to keep the group together and provide full support with less waiting
  • Each ride-group is led by HC Bike Tours ride leader and one van
  • Support vehicles during the ride
  • On road coaching, professional support and other services from our expert guides
  • On road supplements including fresh fruits, snacks, energy bars and drinks
  • If you become tired at any point, you have an option to use van transfer

What's not included in the tours?

Our tours usually not include:

  • Airfare
  • Travel and personal insurance
  • Additional hotel expenses, i.e. phone charges, mini-bar, gratuities, laundry
  • One dinner (exceptions see in each tour itinerary)
  • Rental bike (available for an additional fee)

What is HC Bike Tours dedicated race viewing area?

For tours with race viewing, we offer a special viewing spot next to the racetrack. Usually this spot is located on top of the mountain with the best possible view over the race so you can enjoy LIVE race viewing, LIVE Satellite TV race coverage (in English), catered lunch and cold drinks under a shade of large marquis tents. To ensure that we get the best available spot we reserve it well ahead.

Are the tours available also for non-riders?

We welcome non-riders and each tour is catered for them as well. The non-riders may choose to take the daily climbs with the riders in the comfortable van or to explore the local area by themselves. When filling out the Booking form, please complete the relevant section.

Can I take my friends and family with me?

Can I rent a bicycle?

Pro level bikes are available for rent on all our tours. For availability and full details on our rental bike options please email us at info@hcbiketours.com.

What do I need to pack with me for the tour?

You will be receiving a Tour Information Package with a check list of necessary items, suggested bicycle equipment, tour day plans with maps and mountain profiles, all accommodation details, contact information and any other relevant information at least a month before the tour. We will gladly reply to any questions you might have. Do not hesitate and email us at info@hcbiketours.com.

In what physical shape should I be for the tour?

We plan on cycling 50 miles / 80 km on average every day in mountainous terrain. You are under no obligation to cycle the full track, and you can use HC Bike Tours support van to make your trek shorter at any point in time.

Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is a requirement for each participant. You are responsible for having adequate travel insurance covering accident, personal injury, loss of luggage and tour cancellation.

What kind of travel documentation do I need?

You are responsible for ensuring that your passport is valid for travels and that you have the correct visa required (if such is necessary) to enter the country of the tour.

What is HC Bike Tours tour cancellation policy?

We require a minimum of four people to run any of our tours. As long the required minimum of bookings are made, we will run the tour. If we absolutely must cancel a tour due to low enrolment, you will be entitled to either book any other available HC Bike Tours tour or, alternatively, we will provide a refund of any deposit and our tour fees made. Our mission is let our guests explore Europe by bike, get to know local culture, visit villages and historical places, enjoy local food, experience Pro races LIVE and ride the same courses. We organize Pro race LIVE viewing tours and exploring tours for custom groups and we have tours open for everyone. Our aim is to move by car as little as possible.
We employ local people from different countries. Currently we have French, Italian, Spanish, Croatian, Latvian and Estonian Ride Leaders and support staff in our team. We normally consult or hire local experienced partners / cyclists in all countries where we go to help us to create and lead tours. We aim to stay in rural beautique hotels, villas or farms run by locals. We enjoy eating in local family run restaurants.
HC Bike Tours supports clean environment and stands for active and healthy lifestyle. Our company is based on active, nature – friendly lifestyle. HC Bike Tours are environmentally friendly company and we promote cycling as a part of transportation and a perfect way how to explore other countries being closer to nature. We try to use cars/vans as little as possible.

By booking any of HC Bike Tours tour, you accept and agree to HC Bike Tours Waiver & Release.
You will be asked to sign a copy of this document on the first day of the tour.
