For six years, NRG Performance Training has been synonymous with excellence in coaching, guiding athletes from Canada and globally. Our collaboration with NRG continues, crafting professional and exhilarating Triathlon-focused Cycling Camps.

Having explored destinations like Sicily, Calpe, Tuscany, Nerja and Javea this year, we set our wheels towards the charming Lagos for 2024 Portugal Cycling Camp.

Cycling in Lagos

Picture yourself cycling on diverse routes, from gentle coastal paths to thrilling 8+km climbs, all under the idyllic April weather of Lagos, boasting highs of 23°C. Enhance your stay at a luxurious 4-star beachfront hotel, complete with a pool, where our NRG coaches and guides provide invaluable ride feedback, and HC Bike Tours supports you every pedal of the way.

Prepare for the hilly terrain of Lagos with the right gear – we recommend a minimum 34 x 34 small gear. The routes are thoughtfully selected to match group abilities, and while road bikes are a must, rental options are available for your convenience.

Cycling focused camp

Tailored for road bike enthusiasts, our Portugal cycling camp prioritises group riding to conquer substantial distances, with additional running and open water swim options for triathletes.

The NRG coaching team meticulously plans each training program, catering to varied group needs and ensuring a fulfilling experience for all skill levels. Our small group sizes, each led by a dedicated coach, guarantee personalized attention and an optimal riding pace.

CAMP PRICE:

**note a double room cannot be guaranteed unless you bring a roommate with you, we will do our best to accommodate everyone but if a roommate cannot be found then you will need to pay for a single room.

Current NRG athlete:
Double Room: EUR 2700 (CAD 3900)
Single Room: EUR 3200 (CAD 4600)

Non NRG athlete:
Double Room: EUR 2800 (CAD 4000)
Single Room: $EUR 3300 (CAD 4700)

EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT: For those paid in full by Jan 14, 2024 there is a EUR 140 (CAD 200) discount.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

• 9 days at a 4 Star Hotel steps from the beach
• All transfers to/from Valencia airport within the allocated shuttle times noted above
• Breakfast and Dinner (lunch is not included but we are generally on the road at lunchtime anyway) with 2 night’s out on the town (not included)
• Training program organised and led by the NRG Coaching Team
• Daily talks and Q&A by the NRG Coaching Team going over many different aspects of training and racing
• Rides are broken into 2-3 groups of similar speeds with a coach or guide in each group
• Training schedules customized to the athletes needs and abilities
• Access to NRG coaches throughout the camp to ask any questions that you have
• Vehicle support for the rides and a camp photographer taking pictures along the way
• Custom camp swag

FLIGHTS ARE NOT INCLUDED

You will fly into Faro, Portugal for Friday April 21, we will aim to have 2 shuttles one at ~12pm for those arriving in the morning and another ~5pm for those arriving a in the afternoon. Its approximately a 60min drive to town from the airport.

For departures we will have 2 shuttles available, one will be leaving at ~5am for those on early fights and another at ~9am for those leaving on later flights. Outside of these times you will need to make your own way to and from the hotel or we can arrange a shuttle for you.
