We are always happy to host guests on a cycling tour in Andalusia, Spain. In the summer of 2022 we took a group of cyclists from Belgium on a Private bike trip to Southern Andalusia to cycle the National Park of Grazalema and visit several historic and gorgeous towns and “white villages” the most famous being Ronda.

♦ All the group needed to do is to arrive at the Sevilla airport and they were off – HC Bike Tours team took care of the rest: complete the Custom cycling itinerary, plan the best routes, booked hotels and restaurants, arranged rental bikes, and made all the rest of arrangements for them.

Custom itinerary for a weekend bike tour

The guests reached out in the spring of 2022 with an idea to make a short weekend bike tour that starts in Sevilla and finishes at a villa by the ocean owned by one of the guests. Our task was to plan and run this Private Andalusia bike trip.

We know them well as they already used to travel with us, we have been taking them to Northern Spain the region of Asturias in 2018. This definitely made it a little easier for us to get the idea right about their fitness level and required service level.

We created an interesting itinerary with great cycling of the area, and also searched and booked hotels and restaurants for them. As usual, we supplied our guests with detailed route options with maps, elevation profiles, and short descriptions so they could evaluate the proposed itinerary and confirm it. In the end we created a short 5-day bike trip supported by our SAG van and Guided by the founder of HC Bike Tours, also we delivered our Sarto rental bikes for all riders one being e-road bike.

On Day 1 we started out with a pick up at the Seville Airport and a short shuttle to the start of the ride in the village of Almargen. There we had already pre-ride snacks prepared, that riders can have something after few hours of traveling, get changed, and they were off to start with the scenic climb of Puerto del Viento with a finish in Ronda.

On Day 2 we went out for a big ride through the National Park of Grazalema, actually one of the best cycling in Andalusia Spain.

On Day 3 it was time to go towards the sea, mostly downhill, an enjoyable ride from Ronda to Gibraltar. Tonight we had one of the best dinners at on of the beach restaurants on the coast, likely middle of nowhere, although superb restaurant crowded by locals. 

Day 4 was a short but fun ride what included also few kilometers of good-quality gravel roads with the final destination – the villa in the town of Zahara de los Atunes by the coast of the Atlantic ocean.
