September is the perfect time to immerse yourself in the enchanting landscapes of Lake Como and Lombardy. Let’s take a peek into what it was like to live and ride around the breathtaking Lake Como area, where every turn reveals a new marvel of nature and every pedal stroke is another adventure.
Set against the backdrop of mid-September, the weather was still warm and inviting, making it the perfect time to explore the picturesque landscapes of the Como area enhanced with golden hues and gentle breezes.
Guided by Aigars, the passionate owner of HC Bike Tours, who has spent several years living near Lake Como, we set off on a journey of discovery, with each day bringing new adventures and breathtaking scenery.
From the iconic ascent from Lake Como in Bellagio to Madonna del Ghisallo to the challenging Muro di Sormano, regarded as world steepest cycling path, every pedal stroke revealed the rich history and natural beauty of the region.
One of the highlights of our trip was the opportunity to ride along the shores of Lake Lugano, soaking in the stunning views and exploring charming lakeside towns.
And with the option to tackle a few climbs in Switzerland, we pushed ourselves beyond our limits, relishing the sense of accomplishment that comes with conquering new challenges.
This was custom and private bicycle trip with a dedicated SAG van support and photographer on hand.
Our support driver and service manager Helena made sure the group felt safe and supported every step of the way and was setting up rest stops with various snacks and refreshments for the group in the most beautiful spots.
Our photographer Māris was free roaming on our tour support scooter making sure to capture this amazing trip in every detail possible, freezing moments in time, immortalizing the emotions and experiences that our guests will be able to share and relive with the amazing photography made.
